Point Table Viewlet

The Point Table Viewlet allows the user to view a list of live boolean and numeric points on the network. Status colors are imported from Niagara, so point values that are in alarm are highlighted for quick recognition.  Status colors are as follows:

  • White Background = OK.
  • Red Background = Alarm.  Point currently has a value in an alarm range, as defined by property in its alarm extension.
  • Orange Background = Fault.  Indicates a configuration or licensing error. If it occurs after normal operation, it may indicate a “native fault” in device or the point’s parent device has a fault status.
  • Magenta Background = Overridden.  Current point control is from an action, meaning a user-invoked command at either priority level 8 (override) or priority 1 (emergency).
  • Gray Background = Disable.  Point (or its parent device or network) has been manually disabled (property enabled = false).
  • Yellow Background = Down.  Driver communications to the parent device are currently lost, based upon the device status (Monitor) configuration for that network.
  • Tan Background = Stale.  Driver communications have not received a requested response for this data item within the configured times (Tuning period).

The Point Table Viewlet can display numerous points for the user’s monitoring purposes. The table can be used to monitor variables across many sites or a table of variables from a trouble zone, such as an air handling unit. This table shows a boolean and numeric point in alarm.

Point Table Configuration

The Point Table can be configured to show a large list of real-time values. The user can add points to the list by selecting the add button on the bottom left corner of the viewlet, or by selecting the configuration wrench. Points can be quickly removed from the table by highlighting the point and selecting the delete button in the bottom left corner of the viewlet as well. The user can filter existing points by location or unit through drop-down menus. The user also has the ability to display Location, Point, or both in the table header.

Points:

You can select multiple points by filtering Locations or Units, or both. Additionally you can start typing in the point name in the search box to narrow down the search field. The Units are dictated by the global properties inside Periscope Config. If you don't like the default color, you can change it via the color boxes on the far right.

Options:

Under Options the user can select how the trend name should be displayed. Select Location, Point, or both.
