| In an alternative method to creating and tagging folders, a user could instead tag corresponding Networks or Network Devices with hs:site or hs:equip tags if they neatly aligned with particular buildings and equipment. |
Additional important tags which a user may want to manually add to a site:
- hs:area: This tag defines the square footage of a site.
- hs:image: This tag is not a default Haystack tag, but it can be specified by selecting the "AddTag" button, choosing "baja:Ord" from the bottom list of tag types, and entering "hs:image" in the "TagId" field. You will then be able to locate the image on the local station using the File Ord Chooser folder on the right. The Image Viewlet can then reference this image path if the "Tag" option is selected in its configuration. hs:dis: If a user chose to tag Networks, Devices or some other objects in the station as their sites and equipment instead of using the folder method, those sites and equips may have undesirable names for display in the Periscope dashboard. To edit this, a user could add the hs:dis tag and customize the display name. The user would need to select the "AddTag" button, choose "baja:String"
- from the bottom list of tag types, and enter "hs:dis" in the "TagId" field. Point and trend names can also be edited in Periscope's DatabaseMore Project Haystack tags related to sites can be found here.
The other tags seen in the image to the right are the result of the location having a placement on the Map View, as well as several other Periscope UI related details.
Data should now be referenced to these sites and other hierarchical elements using Niagara4's "Relation Mark" reference tags. This will allow Periscope to know what data is associated with what site and/or potential equipment in order to create context-sensitive graphics. These "Refs" also automatically generate Niagara4 hierarchies used as Periscope navigation levels. For more information on creating references, click here.
